I booked a room for myself, my husband and my son. When we got there, the sofa bed was not made up, we went to reception and asked, we got pointed in the direction of blankets and got told to make it ourselves.
There were not enough cups, glasses or coffee in the room for the 3 of us. When we asked for more we were told to go to the bar.
When the room was cleaned they did not remove any dirty cups or glasses, we took these to the bar ourselves. The absolute kicker was a notice in the room expecting a tip for the exceptional service - we did not leave one.
Probably my favourite par of this experience was that we needed a taxi / cab. We asked if reception could call us one. They handed us a number and said we needed to call our own, we tried but out UK phones wouldn't connect, we went back to reception, stated our issue and asked again. The receptionist phoned the taxi, confirmed the line was working and hung up telling us to keep trying. In the end I had to go back for a 3rd time and beg. The taxi came in good time, but we missed our experience due to a lack of hospitality from this hotel.
