The motel is poorly maintained. The breakfast was minimal. The person at the desk was polite. I stayed in a motel 8 in Brookings SD on Monday. The difference is remarkable.

The room was in pretty good condition and and the beds were great. Sad that the pool wasn't working. But luckily we were able to go to the rec center in town and swim there. The beds were the best part of the whole thing. Very soft and comfy. The breakfast was pretty good for the most part and was able to make a great waffle and had hot coffee and orange juice. Toast withpeanut and jelly. There was milk and cereal. Great fresh banana and apples. Worth the price we paid.

Parking was OK to find a spot ready enough but they didn't do very good ice & snow removal. My stay was perfectly fine BUT... the 1st night I came in was about 1am & kind of emergent so I had my 2 dogs with me. It's a $20 per dog charge, pretty steep but i didn't have a choice so I paid it. The next morning I promptly took the dogs to my parents & left them there for my next 2 night stay. They still charged me $40 a day for dogs & have yet to reimburse me! That's $80 extra I couldn't really afford!!

I've stayed here several times and it's okay. It's always clean and they're always working on fixing things up, but I usually stay in the same room and there's been an unfinished part of the wall in the bathroom for months. Just finish it. Carpet needs replacing too but I know that'll happen sometimes
