staff - other than Carlos as a valet, the rest of the team just didn't care. Too many things were missing and when asked (politely and nicely) you were just bothering them. Phone in the room not working, no milk or substitute with coffee available (when restaurant is close and no mention of it), etc. Location is great. Pool area small and not well maintened, restaurant closed.

Overall, its a cool little hotel. What really hurt the rating was the service. Weasked the front desk what they would recommend for a place to eat. They said they were not from here and couldn't recommend anything. Couldn't even point us in a direction of eateries. Then I wanted to watch part of the game and it was just Samsung TV Plus (Roku). Went to call the front desk but the phones don't work. So went down to ask and they came up and said they have no idea how to work the TV's. Turns out, that is all tgey have. So no game. Could be an amazing hotel with a better trained staff!

The housekeeping and staff at the front desk were extremely friendly, and they did a great job in welcoming us to the hotel. The room itself is basic, but very spacious. It would be great if the hotel could provide a kettle, along with additional hangers for our clothes; and perhaps some pictures on the wall.

The room was nice, but they had a lot of extra charges. We had to pay close to $200 in "resort fees" and it cost us $140 to park our car at the hotel. The extra fees charged by the hotel were as much as the room. It felt like a scam.

We had a fantastic stay at UPSUN Hotel Miami. The room was exceptionally clean — to the point where you immediately notice that fresh, deep-clean scent upon arrival. It genuinely set the tone for the stay. The shower products were lovely and felt like a thoughtful, high-quality touch rather than an afterthought. We stayed as a family with two adults and two children under 12, and the room with two beds worked perfectly for us. Spacious, comfortable, and very well laid out. What stood out most is that the rooms look exactly like the photos — no surprises — and they were immaculately clean when we checked in, which isn’t always the case when traveling. There is currently a small renovation underway in the lobby, but it didn’t impact our stay at all. In fact, we were told a small café is being added, which sounds like it will be a great addition once complete. Overall, this was a wonderful experience, and we truly hope to have the opportunity to book a room here again in the future. Highly recommend.
