I have stayed here many times through the years. It’s been about 5 years and things have really gone down hill. Food is terrible, rooms were ok but last day the fire alarm went off for a “test” for over an hour after going off night before. I know these things happen but there no information and the staff could not have been more dismissive about the situation. Plenty of other options in Miami!

staff was very nice. cabana room was clean and nice balcony overlooking the pool. only issue was the music next door was very loud and all day during Art Basel week. it was difficult to relax at the pool and get to bed at a reasonable hour

I got two rooms and both were spotless. The staff was soo nice everyone we came across wanted to know how was are stay and how they could help us. The pool and beach area was fantastic and so was the staff!!

This is a comfortable old world hotel with a boutique vibe. The front desk staff are helpful and attentive. A small restaurant has a good menu with hit or miss wait staff. The rooms and bathrooms are smaller but decorated nicely. The main pool is luxurious with a second pool and beach cabana with access to the beach. The only negative is that it is next door to the Sagamore Hotel. It is a loud party hotel that blasts house music so loudly that it is uncomfortable to dine or lounge outside after 8:00. The “music” stops around midnight.

One of the coolest hotels I have ever stayed at. The history and charm of this hotel is unmatched. Excellent service all-around, too, especially in the pool & bar area. And the rooms had so much art/character in them. Would definitely recommend.

The property and staff are great. The front desk did however give a key to the wrong person which led to someone else trying to come into our room at midnight. After this security then came up later and asked us to give our names etc. the room we were in made a noise every time someone used the elevator.

Pool side seating & direct access to beach super convenient! Hotel staff was amazing & pool side food was very good. Definitely recommend. There is some construction going on next door which at times got a bit loud by the pool.

Disappointing due to construction at the next door Delano, and excessive elevator noise (room 512). We had to pay to switch rooms. The Queen cabana room was better - clean and well sound proofed, although the fridge did not properly work. Pool area okay, but not relaxing due to beeping, digging. Main pool is in shade and smaller pool in part sun which we did not use. Beach is beautiful, and a quick hop over the beach walkway. Check out day; must pay for hotel beach chairs/umbrella. Staff are very friendly and try to help - but the hotel needs some upgrades and better overall management.

Very nice property. Beautiful grounds and pool. Beach access is only steps away with beach chairs and umbrellas, as well as food and drink service available on the beach. There is no onsite parking, you either have to find parking or pay for valet which is $50 a a day, but the valet service is great. Very friendly and efficient. We only ate one time at the on site restaurant but the food was good. It is right on Collins with many shops and restaurants in walking distance. We rented a car because we were going to a football game at Hard Rock stadium, but if I were to go back I would not rent a car. Overall great hotel and great location.

This is our 3rd stay at the National and we were very happy with really everything. The location is perfect, the staff is really nice from the front desk to restaurant to people working on the beach all are very nice and try to make you stay memorable. Will definitely come back again
