Staff were super friendly and offered us assistance when the type of room we requested wasn't ready when we arrived early. They offered vouchers above and beyond what was required. The room was clean and facilities are great!

We got a room advertised as a "courtyard view" that overlooked a construction site and AC units (no courtyard in sight), with mold/gunk in the shower and frayed, old furnishings and decor. The pictures and descriptions on the website were frankly misleading. What's more, the heating in the room wasn't working at all (in fact, it was blowing extra cold air) - and it was unseasonably cold in Miami (lows in the 40s) during our stay. The front desk staff promised someone would fix this - yet nobody did during the 3 nights we were there. It was uncomfortably cold and made our time in the room unpleasant. The front desk and restaurant were constantly understaffed - we had to wait at the front desk for ages before someone showed up and the poor servers (often just 1-2 of them for the whole place) at the restaurant/bar were trying their best, but were overwhelmed and service was slow. At the price point, we weren't expecting luxury but a clean bathroom, heat in the room, and available staff should be the baseline. We contacted hotel management to express our disappointment and heard nothing back. Not sure how this place gets such good reviews!

The beach was around the corner and view was blocked from hotel, however only a block or so walk. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Food fantastic. Older well kept property would highly recommend for seniors.

We enjoyed our room with the beach amenities. The staff was friendly and the bar restaurant on site was nice. However, their wait staff and serving of food took awhile. I would still recommend this location for a night or two.

Super cute room and a great location! The hotel is a boutique hotel, updated from original 1939 build. Solid oak wood floors, cute wallpaper and decor, with a view of the sand and ocean just a short block away. Restaurant and bar downstairs with happy hour from 3 to 6 every day. Just a couple minutes walk to the Miami Beach Boardwalk, and sand and water. Perfect location for a great price.

Front desk was terrible. We tried calling from the room and no one answered even though we knew he was sitting there on his phone. We asked to move to a different room because the neighbors were so loud. He gave us another room and just said it’s at the end of the hall. Well the service elevator wasn’t working so we had to hall 4 suitcases up and down 3 flights of stairs. It was ridiculous. Our dinner and breakfast was terrible and way overpriced. We called the front desk and used the local 305 # and no answer. In the morning we told the front desk when checking out & he said “oh yeah the phones don’t work”

The beach was one street further, but easily accessible. The hotel is very well located and very friendly. The room was nice. A slight problem was the shower that had a very low pressure, and the soap was difficult to reach--the hotel may want to fix this.

Everything was great! However, I booked an ocean view room and there was the tiniest sliver of ocean from the window. My recommendation is to not spend the extra $20 and go with the standard room. You can always walk one block and see the ocean from the beach.

We did have a problem with our room, unfortunately this wasn’t dealt with straight away which impacted our stay. All of the staff were very friendly apart from the supervisor on reception, very rude and unhelpful. The hotel is fine rooms need updating, don’t pay for an ocean view as you can’t see it. The hotel serves a purpose and as long as you don’t need anything from the supervisor you’ll be fine. My 3 stars are all for the other staff who worked so hard over the holiday period.

Great location, good access with the free trolleys to the rest of Miami Beach. Nice pool area, and the bar staff are very friendly and hard working despite often being very busy with people, the restaurant is popular most days and times! Rooms are a little dated and need some TLC. Would also recommend double checking photos are the most recent, as the lobby / bar area has changed. Noise isolation in the rooms isn’t the best, so if you have noisy neighbours… not much you can do, if you’re sensitive to that. Good air con / ceiling fan in the rooms.
