Under Remodelling

The room itself was fairly nice. No complaints. A true minifridge instead of a wine fridge would have been nice, but it was better than nothing. The condo/hotel itself is fairly dated. Very slow elevator and stains on the carpet. The whole outside area is under construction and it was not clearly labelled how to enter the building. They are working on a pond and an outside area/garden. I think there's a lot of potential. But I'd start by clearly labelling the temporary entrance and mentioning in the listing. We thought the place was out of business when we fist arrived. Other than that, it's affordable ocean front property. I'd consider staying again for the right price. If you're on a budget & plan on spending more time at the beach than in the hotel - it'll work well.

Room had dust/hair all over the bathroom + bedroom yet claimed it was “cleaned”. Key cards constantly deactivating. Stains everywhere. EXTREMELY out dated . The elevator takes 6 mins to come down and 6 mins to go up . And last but not least…. Roaches . Enjoy :)

What we love most about The Broadmore is its convenient location — close to the beach, restaurants, and the bus stop, which makes getting around so easy. Elevator? it doesnt matter. We don’t mind climbing the stairs to the 3rd floor; in fact, we enjoy walking up after a big dinner. This is our fourth stay, and we definitely plan to come back. It’s a simple, cozy place that suits our needs perfectly.

Beautiful old hotel, if a bit rough

Ocean view room with the family, and the hotel while not frequented by families due to being old and fairly run down, the service the hotel staff offered our family was above and beyond what we could have expected. This was a beach trip for our daughters sixth birthday, and they let our kids stay at the pool for an extra hour after checkout because they were having so much fun, and had provided paper plates and plastic silverware for her birthday cake on her birthday. While the hotel building is in rough shape being as old as it is, built in 1939, it’s gorgeous, and it just needs some TLC, NOT updating! We loved the preserved old style of this, and loved the fact that this lovely old building still has opening windows, though this can be a safety issue for those with little ones thus should be duly noted by other families considering a stay here. The pool was clean, rough like the hotel, but no complaints. Paid parking directly next door, and an awesome playground for the kids right on the other side with the entrance to the beach made this affordable, old, diamond in the rough, the perfect place for our family give our middle child the beach birthday getaway she so wanted! We will certainly be returning as long as this hotel keeps the wonderful staff, affordable prices, and doesn’t change the beautiful old style of the building. Tip: avoid the elevator, never seen an elevator that slow in my entire 40 years on this earth! Overall though, very happy with our stay!

The pictures do not reflect the stay you will get. The hotel is old and has not been updated in at least 30 years. The hotel& rooms stunk of cigarette smoke. They had not been cleaned and despite multiple requests and promises that housekeeping would come up, my room was never cleaned. The elevator is soooo slow, yiu can go up and down the stairs multiple times before it arrives. While the folks at the desk seemed to be kind, they did nothing to improve my stay. Would not recomend.

When the construction is complete, it will be a really nice walk to the beach. Lots of updates are needed, the pool was really not nice at all and we weren’t able to use it

First of all, to get into the entrance of the hotel, you have to walk through a “through way” on the side of the building, the elevator was ridiculously slow, the patio wasn’t a patio…it felt like a roof, that was shared with the next room, the “so-called” lounge chairs looked like screen doors, the ironing baord didnt even have a cloth on it…it was just gettho. I want my money back….i checked in about 130…I checked back out around 2, so I didn’t even stay a full day
