The property was noted as under construction however, there was no obvious work being done. We were on the fifth floor and the elevator was virtually not working and scary when it worked. No room service offered at all. Was told additional request to room would be serviced within 24 hours. No phone in rooms to call and request anything, if needed. Stayed 4 days and was told would have maid service on day 3, that did not happen. We had 2 towels, wash cloths, etc - for entire stay in a double queen booked room.
Ice machine is a 2 person job (but staff is aware and made it comical and did help).
Rooms were scarce with no drawers but sufficient closet space. Bathrooms was very very tiny. Lighting was very poor in room. Internet seems to shut off almost nightly around 9pm.
Staff was friendly and was aware of the “conditions” and did make it a more light hearted situation, which made it easier (thank you).
Onsite restaurant was good and had daily happy hour(s).
Staff was friendly and tried to mitigate the environment as much as possible.
Overall, other than the location, the hotel with sub par and we probably will not stay there again which is unfortunate because we make an annual trip to Miami.
