The location was good and the room adequate. That is all of the positives.
The elevator in the building didn't work for 3 days and our room was on the sixth floor. We followed up several times as to when it would be fixed and was never given an answer.
After a lot of back and forth (1h 45m with their Whatsapp Customer Service person - until midnight), we were eventually offered a new room at another location, which we appreciated. I advised we would need to be in the room by midday due to existing commitments, and would like assistance relocating to the new location (ignored, so we paid to move ourselves).
Despite assurances that getting our room ready would be prioritized, we had to wait until AFTER the normal 3pm check in time to access the new accommodation, even though we had to vacate the old room for cleaning that morning. We spent the day uncertain whether we actually had a room to stay in or not because no one could tell us a time when it would be ready, and no one was proactively keeping us updated.
Eventually we got into the new room. It was very nice and well-appointed. Everything went okay for our remaining days, however when checking out we were told they don't hold luggage for people once they aren't guests, so we had to move our luggage to our new hotel earlier than originally planned.
The whole experience with Wynwood soured our stay in Mexico City. As compensation for our troubles they offered 10% off our next stay. No thanks, never again.
