Upon arrival on December 8 we discovered the hotel was undergoing a renovation. The tile flooring outside our room and on every floor of the hotel was being replaced. The workers arrived around 8am and worked until 7pm. When we returned on the third evening the floor of our room and all the surfaces was covered in dust from the sawing and sanding and in the hallway. Contacted Expedia to get our reservation cancelled so we could move to another hotel. The Expedia agent only offered a $55 credit. Called back the next morning and Expedia finally agreed to a $250 credit and booked us in another hotel. Even though Expedia did provide some relief they shouldn’t be booking people into this hotel until the renovation is completed.
The good sized room had been remodeled with a nice spacious bathroom. The cooked to order breakfast provided in the rooftop terrace was tasty and the gentleman who appeared to be the manager was pleasant but he was the only staff we encountered who spoke English. He was apologetic about the remodeling but after three days we weren’t willing to put up with the noise and dust and moved to another hotel.
