Chose the hotel for its proximity to our morning appointment and price. Arrived at dusk and could not find any parking garages permitting access. Finally parked in front of hotel to check-in at desk and was given a code for the garage across the street to secure vehicle. It was nice to know our car was protected but a bit frustrating driving downtown to figure this out. Check in with smooth and rooms were spacious (decorated w/a hint of art deco) & beds very comfy. Our interaction with "Eunique" was great but most other staff did not seem inclined to be accommodating without a bit of persistence on our part. By the time we arrived, there were few eating establishments left open downtown that were not bars. It did not seem prudent to venture far from the hotel due to some questionable characters roaming about, so we opted to eat at the rooftop lounge. Unfortunately, the selection of appetizers was extremely limited (although tasty when they arrived) and the"scene" was definitely not kid friendly. The hotel was very quiet for a peaceful night's sleep and the breakfast offering was quite adequate. After a morning appointment, we briefly roamed a few blocks of downtown. The streets were clean (with a trolley running down the main thoroughfare) & shops decorated in a festive vibe. These hints of nostalgia (not to mention horse drawn carriages pulling lighted, Cinderella-like carriages at night) invite you to escape momentarily to an era when the simplest pleasures brought joy

The front desk staff was 10/10 The area was ok. It’s Memphis. Carpet was stained in room so that made it feel kinda dirty but bathroom and room was clean.

Dependable place to stay convenient to Beale st

Parking is not-included but there is a parking deck near by and you can pull up and drop off bags in front of the hotel. Friendly staff (special shout out to Derick) is there waiting to help. Renovated enough to be convenient and clean with a 1950 Art Deco Black American vibe it’s a great location to enjoy Beale street and historic downtown Memphis

We chose Hu because we were traveling cross country with our dog and Hu is pet friendly. For the price, the hotel did the job. We had to pay a $50 fee which we were aware of prior to arrival. I have stayed at other pet friendly hotels that offer bowls/bed/treats which are always helpful; however, Hu did not offer any pet amenities. The check-in logistics are a bit cumbersome (by no fault at all to the staff. There is only room for about 2-3 cars at drop-off, as it is a downtown hotel. There is no valet option the garage is across the street. There was quite a back of of cars and waiting for check-in in the very small lobby. The location is great for checking out Riverside Park and local restaurants.

The service and staff were truly exceptional—comparable to, if not exceeding, five-star standards. Their attentiveness and professionalism made for a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. That said, there were a couple of areas that could use improvement. In room 901, the TV screen was difficult to view, and the carpet appeared stained, outdated, and in need of replacement. Despite being located near the elevator, the room remained pleasantly quiet, which was a welcome surprise. The rooftop bar, though modest in size, consistently had available seating. The nighttime view was absolutely stunning—romantic and tranquil—easily one of the most memorable parts of the experience.

This hotel is beautiful. The roof top is a great veiw of Memphis. It is a walkable distance between parking, stores, and restaurants. The satff were very welcoming as well. Check in and check out eeng smooth!!

Only one trash bin in the room and there’s trash left uncleaned in the trash bin when we checked in and entered the room. There’s also a beverage bottle on the table obviously left by the last customer. So cleaniness I would say poor. However, the service is great, I like the lady who’s in charge of the breakfast section and the lady at the front desk is welcoming as well. The room design is poor I would say the room is too big but layout is not reasonable. Would rather choose a cheaper but chained brand.

Hotel was in a great location and reception staff were uber friendly. Our room was a suite so we had a separate lounge which was really useful. Breakfast was really good, and value for money. The roof bar view is to die for and again staff couldn’t have been more welcoming.

I have stayed at this location before and thought it was nice. Not so much this time. I get holding a card for incidentals, 75 dollars worth. The hotel is not that great. The beds were extremely uncomfortable and those pillows are the worst! I feel like I should be paid to sleep in that bed. Everything else was meh.

Is not a Luxury Hotel. They did try with renovations, but should not be listed as a luxury hotel. The carpet needs to be replaced Bradley, as it’s severely discolored, dust & bugs in the vanity mirror.
