We ate in the Hops cafe, the staff were amazing and the breakfast menu fantastic. Room was clean, but there was 3 of us and only 2 sachets of coffee, 2 cups, 2 towels, basically set up for 2 people, even though they knew 3 of us were staying. We had booked a king room, they first checked us into a room with 2 single beds, we had to ask for the proper amount of required necessities for 3 people. The lights were half not functioning. They claimed to supply toiletries but the containers were empty. The Linen was just a sheet over the doonah. Our King bed was two king singles pushed together so I had to sleep on the dived of the beds where they were pushed together.

Loved our short stay! City views, great King size bed, fantastic air conditioning! We received a welcome bottle of bubbly as part of our package & free parking. Our first visit to The View Melbourne but definitely not our last.

Great location near tram stop. Great view from certain rooms - terrible from others. But hotel is dated and needs to be thoroughly cleaned. A mouse was spotted in our room. We were moved but to a poor (view) room and no other compensation / complimentary service offered. Definitely one to avoid unless you are a real animal lover!

While the hotel itself was nice, we were extremely disappointed with the fact the pool was closed for maintenance I booked this stay a few days ahead of time knowing the weather was going to be 30 degrees plus on the days we were there, and selected this property specifically for the pool. No mention at hotel check in with staff or on any advisories that this was the case. My kids and I got dressed to use the pool and went downstairs to reception to ask what floor it was on, only to be laughed at by the male staff member and told to try again in a couple of weeks. This was so sad for my kids and unacceptable behaviour from the staff.
