The good:
My room was a suite and was beautiful with an unequalled view of the city of Medellin which I honestly will never EVER forget. The pool on the roof was totally amazing with the view as you can see in their picture. That photo is 100% accurate! I enjoyed that pool immensely.
There were always fresh hot coffee, water, and little snacks in the lobby which was nice. Honestly, this hotel is beautiful but felt like it was designed mostly for business travelers. It is clean as can be and had excellent elevators & WIFI. The access to the mall was very convenient as well. Hotel staff was very nice and helpful; they gave us a 2-hour extension on checkout because our return flight left at 11pm for which I was grateful.
The bad:
There was this totally disgusting small pool of standing water that everyone must cross to get on the pool deck, which meant that persons wearing regular clothes had no choice but to take their shoes and socks off to go on the pool deck. We basically had to exchange foot sweat and bacteria with anyone else using the pool; and could not understand the logic to this since there was another door there for pool access without having to go through this disgusting water but was always locked. Also, there was no food or beverage service at the pool that we saw. The food was mediocre at best, cold eggs, oatmeal like soup, no bacon and chicharron that was like a chew toy, and not edible. Overall, I would recommend this hotel, we had a very pleasant stay.
