We booked a suite expecting to have a kitchen. There was a microwave & mini fridge that comes in most hotel rooms. There was a kitchen sink but no dishes, utensils, napkins, dish soap, etc. There was a cutting board but no knife! The gutters outside had not been cleaned in a long time so with every gust of wind, debris rained down on the balcony. We requested a broom and swept the balcony twice a day. We also swept the floors in our suite as they were dirty. Housekeeping was supposed to be done every 3rd day. We had text messages on each of the service days that they did not have enough staff to service our room. I said our trash was overflowing, and was told I could put it in the dumpster! When I complained that I was paying over $400 per night for 6 nights and should not have to do self service, they found a housekeeper to “clean” the room. For being a resort with resort fees, I would expect more. There are no drawers in the entire suite for our clothes. There are no hooks or towel bars. There are only 5 hangers. “Amenities” are available for rent (beach towels, etc). Coffee & tea are only available until 7:00pm which we were informed at check in; it does not say limited time on the website. The website does not tell us that there are no elevators and that we would need to able to climb steps. Upon checkout, we discovered separate charges for “hotel” as well as tax on that charge. What is the hotel charge? We already paid over $400 per night for the room.

My son and I were turned away to the streets because the card I booked with has a venmo logo on my Mastercard. The girl at the desk refused to even have a conversation about it saying it was a pre paid card. It is not. It was a legit mastercard linked to my bank. She left the room and left us stranded. Then hotels.com made me just through hoops to get a refund after denying my claim. It ruined the last day of our location. They would not let me call a family member to use their card or even have a conversation with me about it. While in there another guest was upset that the room they paid for did not have the features it was supposed to, such as a working fridge. The rooms are also not beach front and the images online do not match the vibe.

Air conditioning worked buy we didnt need to use it. The hotel has beach chairs and coolers to use anytime. Staff was always nice and reponsive. The view from the ocean was a small little openjng off the upper balcony.

The room was spacious and quite clean. Although there was not much seating (sofa or chairs), there was pretty much anything else we could ask for - coffee maker, small refrigerator, microwave, iron, etc. The standout thing for us was the staff. Lenni (sp?) was amazing. Not only friendly and professional, but she went out of her way to accommodate us when we arrived a few hours before check-in time. There was a place for us to store our luggage, she gave us some good recommendations for lunch, we were allowed to hang out at the pool, and when the room became available early, she texted me and checked us in early. Because of her, we will definitely be staying here the next time we visit Maui.

We had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The staff was very welcoming and the facilities, pool and hot tub, were a relaxing option after a day of exploring this beautiful area, swimming and snorkeling in its beautiful beaches. I appreciated their delicious free Kona coffee, a must-try Hawaiian specialty.
