The bathroom was a bit on the small side and we never really ate at the restaurant so I can’t really rate the restaurant however, the breakfast was excellent and the ski room closet was excellent. "It was very well located, clean, well equipped, warm and quiet. Lovely sunny open plan living space. The spiral staircase is steep and narrow - worth noting (but not an issue for us). Martijn was incredibly helpful and responsive. We arrived (as planned) at 4pm and our accommodation wasn’t ready which was frustrating after a very early start/long journey. A big bunch of unmarked keys took a bit of getting used to. we would highly recommend the property."

"Where to begin!? Schwarzsee Hotel is amazing for skiers who travel across the continents with the mentality to enjoy the outdoors. This hotel is very convenient as it is a ski-in-and-out hotel. With the most amazing views of the Matterhorn and part of the Swiss Alps just out your window. The gondola is one minute walk and to embark further up in the mountains and all the way to Cervinia ski resort which lands in Italy!! The staff at the hotel are polite and helpful, the food is beyond delicious. Enjoyed every meal for 4 consecutive days. Your stay includes breakfast and dinner. The dormitories are a bit stretchy and the mattresses hard spring coils. But if you are here to ski the alps, this is just a minor thing that you can overlook. I would definitely comeback!! "

"We had a wonderful stay in this apartment between Christmas and New Year. The apartment is well located beside slope 3, and therefore a short walk/pole ski to the piste in the morning and then a short ski down to a convenient chairlift to access the slopes. With the advantages of ski in/out it does mean that the apartment is a 10 minute walk down the hill into town (and back up) for restaurants and groceries. The apartment itself is newly redecorated with comfortable furnishings and bedrooms. The kitchen is well equipped and functional for self catering. The wifi worked well. Cervinia itself is a wonderful ski area with nice restaurants on the piste (we enjoyed Baracon, above Valtournenche, with amazing views from the terrace, and Mant by Igloo in the Bergman Hotel for an upmarket experience, and Bontadini for self service lunch on the terrace or a drink near the end of the day) - and easy access over to Zermatt. Apres ski - would recommend a beer on the terrace at Bontadini, then 'Love Cervinia' with DJ, then final drinks and sunset views from the bar of Hotel Principe delle Nevi (on left of piste 3 just after the netting) before a short ski back to the apartment. The owners were very prompt with communication and replies to any queries. And to top things off they went 'above and beyond' to retrieve (and hand deliver!) an item of jewellery with sentimental value that we had left in the apartment. Overall, I would highly recommend this apartment for a ski trip to Cervinia."
