If you are looking for a lively and dynamic neighbourhood with many shops and restaurants, you will be delighted. The 5th arrondissement offers close proximity both to the city centre and to the southern districts of Marseille. This urban area includes the Baille, Camas, La Plaine, La Conception and Saint-Pierre districts. The very popular Cours Julien is less than a 10-minute walk away.

The neighbourhood is well served by public transport: bus, tramway and metro, making it easy to access Marseille’s main tourist attractions, including the Old Port, the Cosquer Cave, the Notre-Dame de la Garde Basilica, the Panier district and more. It particularly attracts a trendy and alternative crowd around La Plaine, and a more bohemian atmosphere in Le Camas.

Bus lines 54 and 74 run nearby and allow you to quickly reach the city centre and other districts of Marseille. The nearest metro station is Baille, on line M1, which connects you to Saint-Charles train station and the Old Port.
