If you arrive in Marseille by road, you will probably take one of the three motorways entering the city:
The North motorway, A7, crosses the northern districts of the city and ends near Marseille Saint-Charles train station. It is the southern end of the major north-south route linking Lille to Marseille via Paris and Lyon. The A7 motorway also connects Marseille to Nîmes, Montpellier and Toulouse via the A9 and A54, as well as Aix-en-Provence, Gap and Grenoble via the A51.
The coastal motorway, A55, coming from Martigues, runs alongside the port area before crossing the Joliette district via the flyover and ending at the north-western end of the Old Port.
The East motorway, A50, coming from Toulon, crosses the eastern districts and exits at Menpenti.
The Prado-Carénage tunnel, subject to tolls, connects the A50 and A55 motorways. Possible exits include “Vieux-Port” and “La Major”.
The L2 ring road, open since the end of 2018, connects the A7 and A50.
We are available 7 days a week by phone, messaging and SMS.
