About this property

Earth & Aircrete Dome Home Next to the Forest

Creative, unique and cozy. This dome is made from aircrete and is finished with clay plaster and an earthen floor. It is a piece of art in every respect and is sure to inspire. It has everything needed to cook food, be warm and sleep deeply as well as nearby hiking and skiing trails leading to rivers and cliffs. It is heated by a wood stove or electric space heater and has a outdoor composting toilet and a shared indoor bathroom. Come enjoy the only dome of it's kind in the whole country!

Our dome is located on our 20 acre property that is mostly wooded with large gardens and a few other small living structures. We provide lots of wood and fire starter for the wood stove but guests should have experience with wood stoves (or be really keen to learn). We provide lots of extra blankets.
The bathroom has a shower and a hair dryer.

While the on line pictures were OK the property was much more primitive than expected. The wood burning stove was appreciated however the kindling supply (outside in the bin) was limited; did get the fire going, twice, tho’. The adjacent bathroom could be spiffed up. Our host was very helpful &’friendly, heating our dinner at his own home.
