Hot tub was not ready to go. They didn't know if it would work. Had to call someone in to fix it. Said the pipes freeze sometimes which I understand but if there are alot of people staying there it should of been working. Bathroom door wouldn't lock. Heater/fan in bathroom wasn't working.

As per your website, there was a pool in hot tub available. Both were closed. As for the breakfast, the milk was out of date, vending machines or empty, and there was no syrup for pancakes. The computer to print boarding passes in the lobby,the gentleman behind the counter said it hasn’t been used in three years and had no idea what the password was. The room was not cleaned daily and when asked it was done halfway cleaned. Not a good representation of New new☹️. I could go on and I’ll leave it at that.

Front desk staff was wonderful. The room was very clean. The variety of breakfast items was very good. Overall, it was a very nice hotel. The pool was closed for maintenance but the hot tub was open.

The front desk staff was horrible and unprofessional. He told us not to worry about the screaming in the back room because he was watching a murder mystery show on Netflix. The sink in the bathroom didn’t drain. The whole experience at Microtel chain is an embarrassment to the hotel industry. We were there for a very sensitive family emergency. A family member was diagnosed with cancer and being released to hospice. We had to leave early and no one would help with any financial compensation whatsoever. To bad so sad, is pretty much what we were told. That is ABSOLUTELY THE MOST INSENSITIVE response someone could get at such a sad time. We actually stayed at the Microtel in Mankato as well. That was as bad or worse than the one in New Ulm. The front desk staff wore sweat pants and a T-shirt that matched the color of the hotel. . And, there was a pungent odor when walking into the lobby. Horrible, Horrible, Horrible. Do not stay at Microtel. What a joke. At least Motel 6 has a cool phrase presented to you by Tom Bodett. Should’ve stayed there.

Room was clean, was really cold when we got there the first day, turned on the heat to 72 and the room got really hot in the room, If you did not have the heat on at all times the room would be really cold, if the heat was on all the time you would be really hot. Tried to take a bath but the bath tube plug did not plug no matter what you would try the water would drain right away. Keep the room clean and went to pick up my bag and there was a ton of ants underneath it and all over in the bathroom, when my son poured milk in his cereal it was chunky.

Food for breakfast didn't taste fresh, specifically the baked goods. We opted for yogurt and apple sauce. The room was okay. The microwave was not working properly in our room - it burned a cup of water and smelled acrid when we turned it off. We unplugged the microwave with some difficultly because it was wedged within the wall on a multiple plug unit - seemed unsafe.

Yes the foods were great No, the hot tub was not available at all those days we were there and I could have really enjoyed it after traveling so far the rooms were very nice but there was a problem with the water in the shower
