Ask about snow removal or clearing before going in winter
The property itself is nice and comfortable, however, snow clearing in the complex is a mess. We were snowed in on the 2nd day, and could not leave through the front door or the garage; it had been snowing all night. They cleared the entry to the front door only once during our stay, the day we arrived, but not on subsequent days, making leaving the house a challenge. The snow clearing creates a hill of snow in front of the doorway.
We called the rental agency, Snowcreek, to clear the driveway so we could go to town and the lifts, but were told they don't handle snow clearing, the association does. They could not give us a good number to call (this should be part of the instructions with all the other service numbers they provide). The lax attitude of Snowcreek rental agency added to our frustration.
After calling several numbers and getting nowhere, we found the property manager's number online and he was able to send someone out. Was it too much to expect for snow to be cleared before 11AM? The doorway was covered with 3-6 feet of snow during our stay, making the garage the only way to exit the premises. So, ask about snow removal before you book in the winter.
