One of the best hostel experiences I’ve had. The restaurant , the area, the people all made it happen. They have events and meetups for guest! It was a clean and tidy room, I stayed there twice and for over a 10 day stretch! The staff were friendly and helpful. Also everyone was there.. I saw families, singles , big groups , small groups LGBT friendly, great networking and space to telework.

Okay, so I have stayed in a few Hostels and this one was very upscale for me. I like that there was every age and culture staying in the place. I used the 6 bed private bath for my first stay and it was only used by me and one other person, so it almost felt private. The beds are comfortable, the bar and lounging area downstairs are very nicely done and lovely. They have a Dj on certain nights and days. The breakfast was good for what you pay, but the pizza is amazing! Staff are friendly and helpful. They have so many social functions every week, meetups, and workout sessions that it felt like a resort. It has been interesting staying with other people like in college or high school, but if you are social it is a welcome change. You need to rent a towel and they have reliable WiFi! I’ve decided to stay again for a week because it was centrally located and well priced. Most of the highlights of the city are walking distance or by easy metro subway system!

Fantastic hostel, which is more like a hotel! Everything is so clean and new. The place is really spacious - including all common areas, rooms, bathrooms, and it’s a comfortable place to hang out. Staff are really friendly- I don’t know all of their names, but I remember Clara at breakfast was helpful and sweet! The breakfast was delicious - better than most hotel breakfasts I’ve had. I have stayed in a lot of hostels and this is one of the best. The area is cool and trendy, with so much to do and Would love to come back again. The hot and cold water station was very much appreciated :)

Central House is a great place to stay, but the host was very poor and this particular one doesn't have a quite time like the one on Lisbon. The host never asked me if it was my first time in Madrid, didn't provide any suggestions, or directions, was very impersonal, and then he asked if I was OK with sleeping on the top bed? I said, I don't understand your question, do you have other option? He said "no" so I was like, what is your point? I will rate the "welcoming or host" service very poor. Not what you expect from a hostel. This hostel has a "bar" included (not part of the hostel, inside the hostel) and a patio...there was drunk people screaming and laughing very late at night into the early morning hours. Next time I will pick a different place.
