The location of Hotel Emperador is fantastic—right in the heart of Gran Vía, making it easy to explore Madrid on foot. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the rooftop pool and bar offer amazing views of the city. However, the rooms are a bit outdated and could use some renovation to match the rest of the hotel’s elegance. Overall, it’s a comfortable stay with great amenities, but the decor feels a little stuck in the past.

This was my second stay at the Hotel Emperador which I returned to with confidence that the stay would be worthwhile. Conveniently located on Gran Vía with the Santo Domingo Metro station just across the street, it was well located for our daily strolls through the Centro Histórico and beyond. Breakfast was terrific, albeit without variation from day to day. The front desk staff and bellmen were extremely helpful, assisting us with booking a flamenco performance and storing our luggage, respectively.

The hotel is located right on Gran Vía, which is perfect for exploring the city. The area is lively and full of shops, restaurants, and attractions within walking distance. The hotel itself is clean and comfortable, with a modern style. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with anything we needed. Overall, it’s a great 4-star hotel in an excellent location — definitely a good choice for staying in the heart of the city.
