Great price but super dated

Travelers, I’d be cautious with this one. It is ok—and a great price, but it’s dated. Our room had filthy carpet and a questionable bathroom. The drapes were broken from their bracket and couldn’t fully close. The breakfast was bananas, apples, cereal, and prepackaged honeybuns. Not awful but not great either.

Unfortunately we checked in an checked back out. I hate to leave a bad review but I have to be honest. Our room was extremely dirty their was mouse droppings all over the room the floor hadn’t been vacuumed what looked like to be months or a year, the room smelt awful. We was fearful to even set on the bed so we checked out and found another hotel .

One word: Roaches. Everywhere. This is my second and last stay here. This time we got put in the rooms across the street and they were disgustingly gross. If the Super 8 hadn’t been sold out I would of left. There’s a reason they have a sign at the check in desk that says “no refunds”. Gross

This is a budget motel, but worked for us as a quick overnight stay instead of a 3 hour drive home late at night. Considering the super 8 across the street was $50 more, it served its purpose and was a decent value. Room was stuffy when we entered. Turning on the air a couple hours before checking in would have taken it up a couple notches.

The smoke alarm was beeping because it had no battery, and I had to walk to the front office and get the clerk because the there was no answer from the room phone. The foot of the bed was missing support on one side, so I placed the ice bucket under the bed to keep it from tipping. There was a cigarette butt in the toilet - it is a no-smoking room. The temperature of the water in the shower could not be changed from scalding hot, so I bathed at the sink. As it was late and I was tired, other than the smoke alarm I resolved things myself. I made the morning clerk aware of the other problems as I was checking out.

Found roaches in the bathroom in the morning when I turned on the lights. There was a grill outside the room and several lawn chairs which i found very strange.

I can't fairly rate the property. I didn't stay. The exterior and parking lot were SO deteriorated that I asked to see a room instead of accepting a key. The bed may have been clean and comfortable (?) but the room was dark and tiny and gave the appearance of shabby. The bathroom was bright, likely clean, but so tiny I didn't enter. No renovation can save this place without knocking out walls to double the space, costing more than the building is worth. I don't know if Expedia will refund a $7 reservation fee but the owner was gracious and said he charges nothing for cancelling. We drove on to find something more comfortable.

It was a good deal and worth the cost. The light above the sink was out, both sink taps were hot water, and the covers they had over the box springs were stained. It was clean otherwise, and the a/c worked great. There are lights right outside the room, so if you are sensitive to light, bring a mask.

It seems people live there and they have some alcohol and mental issues that ruin it for others that want to have a nights sleep while on the road. Management tried the best they could but we left early because we couldn't handle it . I chose this motel off of reviews. I didn't have the same experience as they did
