We always choose the Overton when we are in Lubbock. We love the atmosphere of the lounge and bar area. They often have live music on the weekends. The breakfast is always phenomenal with lots of options on the buffet as well as a menu. The hotel is well up kept and super clean.

The staff is not friendly. The room was dirty - stains on the glasses, dirt on the carpet. At first they only gave me two breakfast coupons even though there were 3 people in my party and I was in an executive room. When I complained about the room, then they went ahead and gave me a 3rd coupon but only because I asked. I am very disappointed in the service and cleanliness of the hotel rooms. The only thing good about the Overton is that the hotel lobby is nice, it has a Starbucks and a decent grill and it’s close to Texas Tech.

The stay was great. I loved watching the sunset from my room. The cleaning staff did enter on our last day without knocking, that was strange. Please remind them to knock. However overall the stay was great and so convenient to everything. I especially like the happy hour upstairs and breakfast buffet.
