We were unfortunately in town for a funeral and ended up booking this property on short notice. The booking circumstances were unusual, but that was not the host's fault.Overall, the home was clean, and the beds and linens were comfortable. If you're simply looking for a clean place to sleep and spend time with family, it serves that purpose well. For the price we paid, however, we expected a few more amenities and a more welcoming feel. The kitchen was very minimally equipped, with only one pan and a Keurig available during our stay. We've stayed in other VRBO properties that provided more cookware and kitchen essentials, making it easier to prepare meals instead of eating out for every meal. The home itself felt somewhat sparse and functional rather than warm and lived-in. Aside from a thoughtful welcome basket with snacks, there was little décor or personal touch to make the space feel especially inviting. One practical issue we encountered was the lack of power outlets in the primary bathroom, which made it difficult to use a hair dryer or other grooming appliances. It's possible that pricing was affected by Texas Tech graduation weekend, but based on our experience, the overall value did not quite match the cost for our family. That said, the property was clean, comfortable, and met our basic needs during a difficult time.
