The hotel needs some upgrading for sure. The pool was not heated and the so-called jacuzzi barely warm. But the location is good: it’s right on the beach and all-inclusive, so it checked my required boxes for reasonable price. The food and drinks were decent. Probably will not stay here again. We will look for a place with calmer ocean, so we could swim.

For the price, the hotel was good. The room and common areas were clean. They offer filtered water throughout the hotel, including in the room. Water pressure was good (which isn’t always the case in some hotels). It was a great place to rest for one night during our stay in Los Cabos. We opted for the optional all-inclusive package at a small extra cost, and it was definitely worth it. The selection of food and drinks was nice. The beach is beautiful for walking. As with many beaches in the area, swimming isn’t recommended due to strong currents — something you would already know if you’ve researched the region. There was some construction near the hotel, but noise didn’t start before 8:30 a.m., so it wasn’t an issue. That’s not something the hotel can't control. Maybe not the ideal place to stay for a full week, but perfect for a couple of relaxing days!

The staff was courteous, attentive and helpful. The hotel is clean but in need of an overhaul. Furniture and decor very old and tired. The beds were not comfortable and the linens very thin. The location is great situated right on the beach and an easy walk into town.

Let me first say that I have stayed at many levels of properties over my many years of travel. We booked a budget conscious trip to Cabo after spending time in California. We had never been to Cabo. I did my normal research and chose Posado Real. It was a great decision. Yes, the property is dated, but it was clean. I read a review about the breakfast being bad. They lied, breakfast included almost anything you could. Imagine including eggs anyway you choose, fresh fruits, breads and pastries, fresh juices and more. We did the all-inclusive and the food was consistently good. The staff was great from check in to checkout. This property is a great deal for the price.

I didn't go for full cover, much better to try the local bars and restaurants. Lovely situation, one evening someone found a bunch of recently hatched baby turtles, saved them and released them into the ocean

In general, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The food is all buffet style so it is sometimes just okay sometimes very good. The grounds are beautiful and the beach is very nice. We have mixed experiences on bedrooms. Mine on the second floor west was very good. Other family members on the basic rooms on the east found the beds to be rock hard. Internet was reasonably fast but would stop for periods of a minute or two. There was music or other activities pretty much every evening including karaoke one night - most were pretty good. Overall, a pretty good value place.

Posada Real is a great hotel. It is a small, cozy place that offers more personalized customer service than larger hotels. Located in San José del Cabo, it’s perfect for relaxing and enjoying a calm, laid-back experience. The rooms were comfortable, and housekeeping was frequent and thorough. The food was good, and the evening shows were enjoyable every night.
