Food Safety Concern and Questionable Response We stayed at the InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown for a special occasion. While using the Club Lounge, we found what looked like plastic wrap residues on the smoked salmon that was being served. This was extremely concerning as it posed a potential choking hazard. We reported the issue immediately. The Manager on Duty investigated but later told us that the material was actually part of the salmon’s natural body tissue, not plastic. This explanation felt unconvincing and left us questioning the hotel’s food safety standards and transparency. For a property of this prestige, I expected stricter quality control and a more responsible response. Although the hotel eventually offered compensation, the initial handling of the situation was disappointing.
