Misleading listing – not recommended
We stayed at Beverly Hills Plaza Hotel & Spa last week and were very disappointed, its more like MOTEL 6. The room shown in the booking photos was not the room we were given. Instead, we were placed in a much lower-quality room that required climbing multiple old, steep and unsafe staircases, something not clearly disclosed during booking.
After complaining, we were forced to pay an additional $240 per night plus tax just to get the room that was originally advertised.
After our complaint, the hotel changed their listing, removed the original room photos, and now shows the bathroom photos first, with “staircase accessible” placed prominently. This appears to be an admission that the original listing was misleading.
For nearly the same price, we could have stayed at a true 5-star hotel like the Four Seasons nearby.
I would not recommend this property. Be very careful when booking.
