We don’t have heat the first night! Wasn’t told we would have to pay an extra $35 a night for parking Pool was under construction. Only really good thing was nice bar tender and front desk!

The room was great - it was large with 2 king beds and a living area. Beds/pillows were comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. Enjoyed the free drink ticket at the bar. It was walking distant to a grocery store. The neighbourhood was ok - we didn't feel as comfortable walking at night. It was close to Universal Studio's.

The bar was stocked, the room was clean and the coffee bar was adequate, but when I tried to plug in my phone charger to the lamps or wall outlets it wouldn't fit. It was too loose and my wall plug wouldn't stay in the outlet. I had to use my USB charger instead and this made phone charging very slow and inconvenient. Otherwise our stay was great, the staff was courteous and the car tender was funny and easy to talk to.

Everything was great. Nancy(the manager) went above and beyond to make this stay wonderful for me, my wife and our daughter. Housekeeping was also wonderful as our room and the hotel was pretty spotless! The shuttle for Universal was within walking distance, a less than ten minute walk. The pool heater wasn’t working, but it was indoor and was almost warm without it. This is our new “go-to” hotel for our Universal trips.

They charged us more money when we arrived. We knew about the extra parking fee, which was supposedly a mandatory $42 charge for using their parking lot, but when we arrived, in addition to that fee, they charged us more money just for using their establishment—more that 100 dlls I felt like I was in Mexico, where they charge you just for stepping into their hotel. And they still warn us that if we want them to clean, we have to say it "well,I said no," they might even charge us for that. The hotel looks like it used to be a Motel 6; it even has orange doors like Motel 6s, and they just disguised the lobby to make it look luxurious. They also have double parking and warn you to leave them the key or they'll call a tow truck. I wouldn't go back, I wouldn't recommend it,

The "surprise" expensive parking fee is not cool. It's a little insulting. That should be more clear upon booking. Plus, my key card stopped working many times, I had to keep going down to the desk 5 times. finally she had to bring a key up and let me into my room. Other than that, the room IS comfortable though., I liked the bed.
