The room looked old and unkept. It had satined sheets, pillow cases and matress. Which was also very uncomfortable to sleep on. The bathroom was dirty. The ironing boad had no cover and i was given a towel to use as a cover by a member of staff. The iron did not work properly. People were c iron did not work properly. We could not sleep all night night due to noise. People coming in and out of heir rooms noisily, dlamming doors andtalking very loudly. We could slso hear the washing machine al night long.

The staff were amazing. The kind person who checked me in, sorted my WiFi issues and lent me a phone charger was wonderful and I was so appreciative of his support. Excellent value for money and the location is super. Would stay again and recommend.

check in no problem. check out no staff there, had to leave a note. Room 29 had dirty window frames. Towel rail and toilet roll holder very rusty, wash basin also. No spoon for tea/coffee. Tea coffee holder was dirty. Towel was thread bare with bits coming off it.

Superior ground floor suite

Sadly, I didn’t read the reviews before booking but was seduced by the photos. The reality was unfortunately far from the promise. If you read other reviews you won’t be surprised at how shabby the rooms are. What confuses me more is the establishment know about the problems but as far as I can tell have done nothing to at least try to rectify the issues. It’s such a shame because the location is perfect for onward travel. I can’t imagine spending any length of time there, thankfully my friends and I spent just one night. The room was given a cursory clean, the mattresses lumpy and uncomfortable, the tv didn’t work, wallpaper was peeling, the curtain was half off it’s rail, the courtyard shared area had rubbish and an old towel left outside. It was very hard to find a positive and I just wish they would employ someone to sort out the issues and care about what they are providing. Be warned… do your homework, I certainly will in the future!

Expedia forgot to mention that this building doesn’t have a lift. We received a room at the 3rd floor taking very steep and narrow stairs. No chance to escape a fire,God forbid! The room is very small, the heating didn’t work so we had to use the hairdryer to heat the room and it smell terrible of chlorine. If you have a certain age or reduce mobility do not book this hotel

Does not look like what it does on the pictures. Meant to look boutique-esk. We esstentially had a box room. No water, no service, a bed squished up against the wall and bumping into everything.

I do not recommend. Mouldy, damp and unclean.

Start to finish, I turned up to the hotel and was asked a for a code I didn't receive and then he release I was a room with a key so didn't need a code. The key to the outside door was not working properly but I was told I just need to give it a few goes, in the end this key was not good enough. Once in the room I dropped of my stuff and had to head out. On my return I couldn't get through the door but another guest came and opened it with a code. Once back into he from I was about to have a proper look at the room. The walls had mould on, the corner and other areas had cobweb, the bin hadn't been emptied, there was a pair of knickers left in the room and the mattress had some plywood under as the frame was broken. I tried to call the hotel to change rooms as there was no one at reception but nobody answered the 3 times I tried. I managed to sleep. When I checked out I reported all this to the receptionist and they said they would look into it. I would not recommend this hotel as the price was the same as a premier inn which is always good quality and around the corner.

Down side: One of the double beds was a broken camp bed. Broken window in the room. Shared patio which we didn’t know before we went and it was filthy, cigarette bits etc. no coffee in the room. Overall a but random. Up side: Staff were really helpful. Great location for Kings Cross. No coffee provided in the room or reception Okay for one night. I wouldn’t have wanted to stay longer sadly.

Wouldn’t recommend.

The hotel does not look like the picture. It is run down. I was there with my daughter and did not feel safe at all. There was constant movement around the hotel and up the stairs. For a solo traveller needed somewhere to sleep: Probably okay! But for a family? No. The bed sheets weren’t secured on the bed and the mattress was dirty. The location is right near construction so it was not pleasant to walk around. The window opened wide and had no safety barriers. Very unnerving.

Fun family one night stay

Super wonderful staff who were friendly and amiable. A small issue with a non-working code was sorted swiftly and in a very professional manner. If you have a dodgy back or sort joints the mattresses might not do you any favours but the room was perfect for a family of 4 about to go on holiday

Welcome was friendly, room dirty, bathroom also dirty no toilet paper, bedroom window dangerous frame coming apart! Definitely in need of a good clean and refresh!
