Excellent situation close to tube and bus routes into the city and other parts of London. Easy access to Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens. Lots of interesting walks. Many cafes and restaurants in the area. Very interesting building, impressive staircase and function rooms. Fairly basic but certainly adequate bedroom and good sized, original avocado, bathroom. Reasonably priced for this area. Staff unobtrusive but helpful when needed. Daily housekeeping. There is limited parking, but we didn't use it. Overall very satisfied. Would stay again.

This is a 200 year old historical property with a lot of charm. The staff loves this hotel and you can tell. Next time in London I am staying here

I wouldn’t go again.

This hotel is very run down and in desperate need of a refresh! Walls have many areas where plasterboard repairs are still on show, paint and wallpaper coming off and looks like it’s still in the 80’s. The rooms have paper thin walls and floors, and the windows don’t have any seal against drafts or noise. This makes for a tough sleep, especially with a family. The staff were okay but definitely did not offer a “good service”, the bar man was not helpful at all and did not make me want to spend any extra money. Such a shame as the location is excellent.

Good location, good value but room in need of some modernisation, eg. the avocado bathroom suite did take us back to the 70's (although very clean/tidy) :-)

Old style mansion property. Quite beautiful but with that came squeaky floorboards and leaking tap. No heating or aircon in room but a fan was provided. Two bath towels and one bath mat supplied but no hand towel. When I enquired they provided another bath towel. Staff were friendly. Position was excellent. Walking distance to Paddington where we dined at a fab Italian restaurant and to Paddington Station. The Swan Pub just a minute down the road was excellent too.
