The bar has a fabulous atmosphere with really lovely staff. The hotel is in a great location. We walked all the time we were there. About 25 mins to Soho, borough market the shard.

Everything was in good condition...location is good for the Tube, and the staff were very friendly. Room was tiny, but probably standard for UK. Felt like a cruise ship room.

Great location just 4 min walk from Waterloo. Friendly staff manning the reception/bar. Bar area relaxed. Lovely coffee shops nearby. Unusual room layout with shower glass onto room. Tea/coffee facilities all in a shared area per floor which is very eco friendly but does mean leaving the room for your morning tea!

Excellent location, totally clean and cozy, awesome guitar borrowing section, nice little bar, just a great little hotel, especially if you need to use the train early in the morning, it's a very short walk to the Waterloo station.

The room was neat and tidy and the decor was pleasant. However, the bathroom setting was only good for solo traveller as the shower unit was completely exposed - one could watch TV while showering - and the washbasin and well-lit mirror were outside the bathroom. The key issue was that around 2 am, the bathroom light suddenly turned on by itself and I couldn’t turn it off and couldn’t phone for assistance which I tried a few times, so a sleepless night. The bar was a pleasant place but only offers a very limited menu so not a place where you could come for dinner.

Exceptional hotel which is located in an area which isn’t in tune with the quality of this establishment. I was pleasantly surprised at the attention to detail, comfort, room size, shower facilities and balcony included in our stay. Definitely would stay again and recommend.

I had a really nice stay here. The room was larger than I expected, and I had a nice view over Lower Marsh. I didn’t get much of a chance to explore the area (work trip) but spent a little time in the bar and found it to be a pleasant space with good service. The only issue was the air con not working properly, but I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again in the future.

Nice room (loft) on fourth floor with big outdoor terrace. Really lovely staff, always smiling and with a welcoming hello every time we encountered them - a proper asset to this business as so many hotel reception staff are often without character. If I was to criticise anything, I would say the shower/toilet combo with glass walls are not to my taste - just a personal choice.
