Reservation cancellation by the host

Our reservation was cancelled by the host without notice. Check in details were not sent at 3pm on the day we were meant to check in. Upon phoning the Property Manager, I was told that the reservation was cancelled by the host without any reason - at this point we were already on our way from Scotland to London. We ended looking for another accommodation which costed us double what we paid for this accommodation. Very frustrating

Owner stiffed us. Ten days of trying to contact to find out how to check in when we arrived went without response. Never got to property. Had to pay for a hotel at last minute. Dreadful experience.
