Radisson Blue Kensington is a good value hotel. The small room, bath, etc., was expected and worked well for me. However, if you are a big person, you may want to consider getting a larger room.

Tired rooms need update

The hotel is well situated and the public spaces are fine. The room though was noisy (overlooking a main road). Surfaces were sticky (a desk with deteriorating varnish), there was dirty water in bath which didn’t drain well, no toilet brush and no sockets near the bed. Against this, the breakfast was good and the bed very comfortable.

Straight Review of Single Room

Check-in & out were easy and the hotel staff were friendly and helpful. When I had a problem with the room, they sorted quickly for me. The room & bathroom were clean, the bed was comfortable, and bedding was crisp and clean too. Despite my room was to the rear of the building, there was bit of road noise coming from Cromwell Road to the front of the hotel so you may want to make sure the secondary glazing is fully close, but it didn't adversely affect my stay, but it is something to be aware of. As I was on the top floor, there was some other noise which I suspect was some kind of ventilation equipment on the roof, which I noticed more in the morning, but wasn't a major issue. The single room doesn't have tea of coffee making facilities but does have a fridge and you receive a complimentary water. The hotel is a very short walk from Gloucester Road tube, so only a couple of stops from central London. The lift (elevator) is quite small , 3 or 4 max people at a time , 2 max with luggage, this is probably due the lift being a retro fit to what is an old building. Overall, I would be happy to stay at the hotel again, it was reasonable value for money too. The points I mentioned above aren't big issues, just my experience with my room and non of the things mentioned wouldn't put me off staying there.

Not accommodating at all. Put two adults in a shoebox room with a tiny bed. The over nite staff were excellent. I don’t understand why a hotel won’t let customers flying over night from the States have to wait to check in. Bits of the wall were crumbled along the floor we stayed on. Guest shouting and banging doors at 5am. Room service knocking at 8am. I could go on. Never again

Ok stay.

The stay was ok. The room I was given, although I booked a superior room (which was shown on the website with a bathtub in the bathroom) was extremely cramped and the bathroom was small with a shower. The location was also noisy (there's a lift opposite the room that seldom worked, the alarm was blaring a few times; people love slamming doors too on the 3rd floor apparently!) Overall clean, but looked tired. I expected more from a Radisson Blu.

Lovely London Hotel

Food quality hotel with friendly staff. Excellent location close to the tube, shop, and quick casual restaurants. A little street noise and some banging doors at all hours, but a good choice overall.

Friendly but overpriced for tiny room

Friendly reception & elegant premises. Extremely expensive for a tiny single room, with some features literally falling off. Exasperating muddle at breakfast second morning about whether it had been pre-paid. Other Radisson Blu hotels do better and offer better value for money.
