No frills Hotel

I had selected this Hotel due to its location near the Big Bus stop, Metro, and the Tower. However, even at it's expense, there was no fridge, no safe, no amenities, no frills at all. We stayed one night and transferred to a different hotel nearby since it was more of a budget hotel, despite the price we were paying. However, staff was great and nice.

Las señoritas de la recepción fueron groseras a la hora de hacer check in, uno de los integrantes de mi familia le habló en español por accidente y fueron muy despotas burlándose de nosotros. De ahí en más la ubicación del hotel es muy buena, tienes estaciones de tren a 8 minutos caminando y de autobús a 5 minutos. También las habitaciones muy limpias y el desayuno está muy bien.

The hotel is conveniently located by the Tower of London and by many trains and buses. The breakfast is included, which is convenient, as well. Water is available by the entrance, and staff are happy to assist you if you want to use the tables to eat your own food, even to heat it up. There is low water pressure from the shower, though. Bring your own shampoo/conditioner.

I stayed in this hotel from July 14-16, 2025. Everything was perfect, especially considering the price range in travel high season in London! The hotel is clean, and the room was a comfortable size—not too small. The train station is very close by. Tower Bridge, Borough Market, and the river cruise are all within a pleasant less than 30 minute walking distance, with plenty of historical buildings to admire along the way. The staff may not appear overly enthusiastic at first glance (which seems typically British), but they are genuinely helpful. When the handle of my suitcase lost a screw, I asked Maria at the front desk (my apologies if I've remembered your name incorrectly) for directions to a nearby repair shop. Instead, she proactively provided me with screws and a screwdriver and fixed it herself, saving me both hassle and money. Additionally, she politely declined the tip I offered. I was truly impressed by her kindness and professionalism. It was a very pleasant stay, and I would definitely choose this Premier Inn again on my next visit to London.

Property was way below our expectation. Looked very old, carpets were dirty In many places. The restaurant was really below par. No food after 9 PM. We arrived about 1030, very hungry, the only thing they had were some cookies and some peanuts, which they actually charged us for rooms were clean, but small.

The hotel room was comfortable, but there were some shortcomings. There was no safe for storing valuables, no iron, no refrigerator. The wardrobe was very small. During our 5 days of stay, our room was never cleaned. Although we hung a tag on the door asking them to clean the room.

WiFi was terrible, they changed more for a little bit better service. The lobby was always a mess, stains on the carpet and in our room. The toilet paper was small napkins. The TV stopped working with any controls, could not turn it off or adjust the volume, no help from the front desk, said they would send someone. After almost 2 hours working on it, I finally had to get my fingers deep behind to unplug it from the outlet, an hour later the front desk help showed up. Definitely would not go back.

The management has cut out basic features for a hotel. The given reason was to "cut costs". The room has NO clock, NO telephone to call the front desk, and NO plans to ever provide any. They seem to deliberately provide a "hostel" level of service, rather than a real hotel. Fwiw, the room and bed were fine and clean. However put in a $10 alarm clock for your customers' convenience. Oddly, there are two food menus in the room, but to phone to place an order
