A very small room, one of the smallest I have ever stayed in. The heat was unbearable with no air conditioning or temperature control. I had to keep the windows fully open every night which meant constant noise because the hotel sits on the Heathrow flight path.

I love staying at the Petersham and always stay here when I come to London. The service is excellent and all the rooms are unique and charming. The views of the river are gorgeous. It’s about a 10-15 minute walk to get into the town of Richmond with plenty of restaurants and shops, but you can easily walk along the river and enjoy the views. I will definitely be back! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Lovely stay. A bit confusing at check out, as while I used a cc for incidentals, and I agreed the charge was correct upon turning in my key in the morning. However, the hotel clerk knocked on my taxi window as I departed to ask about how I was going to pay. That seems like an important item to note while face to face minutes earlier, and provided the card the day prior. Otherwise, clean and quiet. I might recommend a soap dish in the bathroom, and upgraded shampoo and lotion. Also, a good carpet cleaning, but I'd stay again and one of the nicest properties during my recent travels.

This is lovely historic hotel in the charming town of Richmond. The staff, including the gracious maitre’d at breakfast, were attentive and did their utmost to ensure a comfortable stay. I stayed in both a single room (cozy with a full-sized bed) and a larger king room and was pleased with the amenities, bathrooms, linens and beds in both. Breakfast in the dining room overlooking the river was a delight with starched white linen, china, friendly servers, and excellent food. (Tried the vegan breakfast, though, and think it can be much improved upon. More spice and a bit of veggie meat will do wonders.) And speaking of Petersham, I highly recommend a visit to Petersham Nursery and café just short walk away from the property. Overall, I (we) had a wonderful stay and will be back!

The room was good, quiet and comfortable. Dinner was really lovely. Breakfast was less good: quite expensive; only 1 choice was available per person - you couldnt have porridge then a cooked breakfast, or you pay a £10 supplement. The hotel is half a mile from Richmond which isnt too bad.
