Great location, comfortable room, pleasant staff!

Our stay at the Notting Hill Gate Hotel was great.The location was excellent.- especially when needing to get to Heathrow during strike action which closed all underground stations. Although we didn't have a window we could look out nor open, we had an A/C unit which kept the room comfortable. The bathroom was newly renovated and the shower was wonderful. They also provided us with fresh towels every day which was unexpected but appreciated. I would definitely stay here again on another visit.

The room was clean, but the shower only had shampoo and body wash sachets, as opposed to a dispenser, the wall mounted fan was clearly on it’s last legs, and the curtains weren’t able to be expanded out far enough to really block out all the light. The lobby has seen better days, and could definitely use updating. Overall I would say this hotel is ok for a night or two, but would look for somewhere with nicer amenities for a longer stay

Conveniently located and clean. However, we had a double room which was extremely small and clustered, we couldn't even open up our suitcases on the floor. It wasn't worth the money.

The staff was exceptionally kind and helpful, and we thoroughly enjoyed exploring the neighborhood—there was plenty to see and do within walking distance. Unfortunately, our experience was impacted by a leak in the ceiling of our room. For both nights of our stay, we were woken up by water dripping from the floor above. While the hotel had placed a bucket in the room to catch the drips, we believe this room should not be made available to guests until the issue is fully resolved.

Small RV-like hotel room, great location

Excellent location and wonderful staff. Room for 3 was ~8x12 ft. with 2 small beds and a rickety wardrobe crammed into a space barely large enough to turn around in. The bathroom felt like an RV bathroom with no room to turn around or countertop for setting down toiletries. We loved the location, and the staff were friendly and welcoming, but we wouldn’t choose this hotel again. It was a funny family experience, but not for the right reasons.

The location is great and the staff friendly. There is no AC, but had two fans that were enough. Close to public transportation (both metro and bus) close the the famous Notting Hill landmarks and market. Wide options for good food and supermarkets. No elevator, but is not a big deal.
