The PROS - excellent location, just a couple of minutes from Paddington Station. Staff is super friendly and very accommodating. The breakfast is pretty basic but the staff were exceptionally accommodating to get what we wanted. CONS The hotel condition is pretty dated and needs an upgrade. While the room had a small but up to date bathroom, the other parts of the room were not up to the standard of the bathroom. The bedroom portion was dated, the bed was not very comfortable and the walls were thin as you could hear the neighbors. Again, its incredibly convenient to transportation, the staff are super friendly but a few updates to the condition of the hotel and rooms would be really a good idea.

Hotel staff were most helpful, kind and efficient, especially front desk/bar staff on shift 4-11 (Mohammed & Salmen, thank you!). Hotel is older but well kept and clean. Great area, very close to Paddington Station. Twin rooms very small. Basement room undesirable, however was able to change rooms to an upper floor which was much better and brighter. Would stay again in an upper room floor.

The location is convenient since it’s close to the train station. However, the hotel really needs an update. It feels very old, the bed is uncomfortable, and you can hear every sound from the hallway and neighboring rooms. The bathroom is extremely small, and the shower is terrible. Also, the sink has separate taps for hot and cold water, so it’s impossible to get a comfortable warm temperature—I almost burned myself from the hot water side!

Stayed with my teenage son for 4 nights. Upon arrival it felt like a timetravel since the rooms were so outdated, whick was kind of fun at first. For its value very pricy but the location was excellent and my son liked the breakfast a lot and was happy with everything, therefore the third star. However, I would not recommend this hotel for anyone. The hotel desperately needs a proper renovation or at least a decent facelifting. Staff was fairly ok.

Breakfast is not fresh but that staff is good. Location is the best part of the stay. The room, bedding, storage, power supplies, and bathroom are all sub par. Bath/shower was dangerously slick even with the mat, towels were old, one small shelf for all your bathroom items, and no bath mat. Fiberglass tub was cracked . In summary: the staff is kind, competent, and accommodating, whereas the owner invests nothing in repairs, buys the cheapest possible food, and provides the minimum to guests.

The hotel is eccentric. It is clean, comfortable and staff are helpful and welcoming. Myself, partner and 3 month old baby stayed for a weekend. We will be back again next year.

Luv the staff! Nice, informative and very accommodating! The hotel itself has definitely seen its glory days but I honestly think in its present this adds to its charm. I love the english breakfast and looked forward to it everyday that we were there. The rooms were definitely smaller than the more updated hotels but it suited our needs. I would recommend this hotel for its accessibility so close to Paddington station.

Mitre House London

This is the second time I've stayed at the Mitre House. While the rooms are small, as is typical in London, they're very clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. A fine English breakfast is available. It's convenient location near Paddington Station makes accessing the Tube a breeze. Highest recommendation.

Breakfast choices were great and staff was very efficient and friendly. The front desk staff was very helpful with any questions and provided helpful information. The hotel was just a block from Paddington station from where we walked from/to the hotel from the Heathrow on the Elizabeth Line. Also the Lancaster Underground and Bus stops were only 1-1/2 blocks away.
