Like many central London buildings, the hotel is quite dated. The reception and stairs need refurbishment. But my room was bright and spacious with a modern bathroom so it was a comfortable stay. The staff were warm and welcoming and I appreciated being able to leave my luggage for a few hours after I checked out before getting my train later that day. The hotel is ideally situation for Kings Cross Station.

The worst stay I ever got in a hotel

We planned a friend reunion after 3 years apart. We checked the online reviews on this location, as it was a convenient place, close to the train station. Unfortunately the actual rooms looked terrible, we only found out that we supposed to pay a deposit when checking in as a warrant you don't smoke in the room, in the condition that you pay in advance for your booking and the mention of this warranty is in very small cases somewhere in the separate pdf with company policy. Like a disclaimer. Bear in mind that if you pay in advance they have in capital letters the condition that you don't receive your money back no matter what. Classic scam. The room was in terrible condition. Damage dirty walls, scratches all over the floors, rotten sealing in the shower.

They're taking advantage of a name and location and offering garbage in return. We booked two rooms. The mattress pads were stained. They didn't offer to help bring up luggage. The showers were not clean and leaking. One of the rooms was literally in the basement and flooded. We contacted them multiple times about the flooding and then by the time we actually got a hold of a manager, they tried telling us that no one ever told him and that they're not going to refund our stay.

We arrived at 2300 hrs, to find a very small room, that was run down. My eyes were burning from the mold. It was right on the street, lots of people passing by, it was loud. We felt unsafe. I asked for another room, was told there were no others, even though it showed in Expedia that there were. We ended up booking elsewhere and having to take an uber at midnight. So I paid for two hotels for two nights, we tried to get a refund but that didn’t happen.

The staff were really nice and friendly at checkin, Other staff at the property were very helpful. They assisted me a lot with carrying my luggage out of the building since the building had stairs, and I had a lot of luggage overall, I was very pleased with the accommodation.

Comfortable bed but noisy room

Conveniently close to Kings Cross train station. Comfortable bed, but the room was fairly noisy (both noise from the outside, creaking floor from upstairs / neighbours, conversations from people walking in the corridor that could be head though the thin walls). Basic amenities in the bathroom: hot water, but shower door not properly installed, flow of water in shower limited due to limescale. No net curtains (just curtains that I struggled to close fully) gave limited privacy.

The hotel room itself was everything needed for a quick stay near Euston station to get an early train. It’s also very near to King’s Cross station and convenient for transport. Staff very helpful and friendly. Would have been nice to have soundproofing but the noise outside eventually stopped around 11.30 pm. I would recommend :).

Basic but really handy for Kings Cross Station.

Hotel was generally clean and comfortable. The lid/seat on the toilet was loose but quickly fixed when I mentioned it to the staff. The room was extremely noisy due to the local traffic and the fact that there was a full pane of glass missing from the sash window. The window did have another sliding window on the inside but didn’t prevent the traffic noise.

The area is convenient for transportation but the room we were initially put in stunk of mildew and sewage, there was evident water damage throughout both the bathroom and sleeping area. The second room was an improvement, however, the bathroom still smelled absolutely horrible, the beds were mostly springs, the air conditioning didn’t work and made a horrible noise. The towels had holes in them and were stained, stains were also on the bedsheets. Additionally, the doors struggled to open, every single time, you’d have to scan the key card multiple times and yank, MULTIPLE times just for it to open. We had a few decent interactions with staff, the gent who changed our rooms was very kind and sympathetic.
