The room had empty bottles left in it and cobwebs behind door. No bin in room and beds weren’t the easiest to sleep on. Staff were friendly and when I mentioned to reception acted on straight away with their cleaners but obviously not a great thing

I’ve stayed at The Grand Hotel Ilford many times due to the convenience of it’s location, the service, comfort, general cleanliness, peace and quiet, amenities and continental breakfast are always to a very good, consistent standard every time.. Also on the rare occasion when there have been any issues, their friendly reception staff have always gone out of their way to resolve the issue or moved me to a better double room.. I am a genuine patron of the hotel at different times of year, spring, summer & winter and find their room charges are very good value for the quality service they provide… And I am fussy about where I stay…! The added bonus is that there is a good choice of food options within 500 metres of the hotel, including an excellent world class southern Indian vegetarian restaurant, ( and I’m not even a vegetarian ), but eaten their several times…!!!
