Overall a decent hotel for that price! However the were a couple of things that was not okey. We had to pay to leave our luggage at the hotel because we arrived before check-in time. And the receptionist was not really friendly! The last thing that was worrying was that the room was left unlocked after they cleaned the room during the day. Other than that, the room was tidy, the beds were good.

Reception manager was extremely helpful, polite and welcoming. The location is very good, convenient for Paddington but also quite, plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby and a few minutes from Hyde Park. The building is tastefully renovated and very clean.

My experience is based on staying in a single room for one night, perhaps the double rooms are better. I was unfortunately placed on the basement floor, where there is no air con and the windows don’t open. The room was tiny, but that’s okay. The reception staff did not help with getting luggage down to the dark, dungeon-like rooms. Do not expect a great breakfast- it wasn’t bad, but keep in mind it’s just enough for a quick bite of bread or cereal before going somewhere else for a proper meal.

Lovely hotel, very clean and well maintained. The staff are friendly and helpful, whilst still being professional. An easy walk between Queensway and Paddington tube stations, lots of restaurants, cafes and small shops nearby, but immediate area is quiet and peaceful. Hyde park is nearby, a good location.
