Stay away from this property! We arrived and there was excrement in the toilets, there were long black hairs in the sheets, on the kitchen floor, in the shower, dirty tissues on the bathroom floor. There was the jackhammering from construction going on and you could hear it as if it was in the flat. It was clear that the host had not spent money on double-glazed windows. The host finally sent cleaners after wanting us to stay there with it being so dirty and then they would have sent someone the next day. But even having a cleaner come, the beds were broken ---my daughter said that it felt like a knife was in her back all night. The host gave no amenities--there was no handsoap in the bathrooms, no papertowel or detergent to do wash--we were told we could go to the store to get it. We were supposed to stay 8 nights but after the beds were so bad and the noise all night, we checked into the Marriott up the street. I called VRBO customer support the first night and got Sailesh in India who told me that it was fine that they were going to have a cleaner the next day and they didn't support us at all. The host had 2900 of my money and refused to cancel and refund us anything. I wrote back and forth with VRBO and they just kept telling me that it can't be escalated and the host is the one that can decide to refund or not. Why would the host ever refund once they have my money? The host kept saying everything was addressed. Finally VRBO said to dispute it with my bank.
