Really enjoyed my stay at Brompton Hotel. Fabulous location a couple of steps from South Kensington station. The reception staff member was very helpful and the room was spotless and very cosy with everything you could need eg tea and coffee making facilities, mini fridge etc and a smart refurbished bathroom. No complaints at all.

There was no hot water until I complained. Man let sink run for 10 months minutes to get warm water. No heat until I complained. Man turned gas heater on. I had to ask for a blanket. Room was on 4th floor with no lift. No Continent Breakfast.

Excellent location for museums, parks and plenty of local choice for restaurants, cafes and shops. Really close to South Kensington underground Hotel itself was clean, but 'tired' and in need of refurbishment, especially the bathroom. The reception staff were polite and helpful. No lift.

Great location. The Staff are friendly. I feel the Hotel is in poor condition. There is no lift and an awful lot of stairs. The bed appears to be quite old and very uncomfortable. I wouldn’t stay there again.

Brompton Hotel Stay

The hotel was in a good area and the tube station was literally a couple of minutes walk away. The hotel was fine for what we needed it to be as we were up in London to attend a local hospital appointment and this was the closest hotel at a cheaper price. The staff were really friendly and accommodating. We did say to them when we had finished our visit that the fridge would need to be check as the items we had left in there were warmer than when we had put them into the fridge and had put it up to its maximum level ! The gentleman behind the counter said that this would be looked into. We asked for a lower level room which was what we got over looking the road, but when the double glazed doors were closed, we hear very little traffic noise. The one downside was that despite turning the radiators off when we arrived as we noticed that they were on, the heat still carried on coming out, so we presumed they had an over-ride facility and that they were set to ocome on at certain times of the day. That being said we were in a more expensive area of London. There were breakfast facilities, although kind of onsite this was run independently of the hotel. We didn't eat here in the end, but a few doors up on the same side, was an excellent breakfast in La Brioche. This comes highly recommended. We did have a recently re-fitted bathroom which had been replaced to a good standard.

Convenient and clean

Wifi good, room clean but needs a coat of paint, staff very friendly, convenient location, just a shame about the stairs would have been nice to be offered help with suitcase up the stairs

Very tired decor. Was told on arrival that the room had a new bathroom but the door was damaged and it couldn't be closed or locked. Only stayed here as we had to attend a hospital appointment at 7.30 the next morning and it was a reasonable price and close to the hospital.

Wish there were more places like this rather than the boring chain hotels or the poncey, overpriced posh places with all their flunkeys. The property is in a great location, but it could very much do with a refurb. From old and faded furnishings to a very leaky bathroom, and incredibly loud ventilation, it was much less comfortable given the current condition. At least it was clean enough so for 1 night it was passable given the practicality of the location.

It’s a nice property at a very convenient location just across the South Kensington tube station. All important places are in walking distance. Everything goes well except no elevator in the building. The management shall find the ways to install a elevator
