The location of this hotel is excellent, very close to the South Kennsington tube station. At the end of our stay we were able to take the tube directly to Heathrow. The room was small but clean. Staff was helpful with our luggage and were able to give us a room on one of the lower floors, very nice during the London heat wave.

This was a nice little older hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. The property is clean, which is my primary concern generally, and they are in the process of renovating the guest rooms. I do have to advise that there are many stairs and no elevator, and no air conditioning, so this hotel may not be suitable for all. But this was just fine for my needs, and the location is very convenient, right outside the South Kensington stop for Circle/District and Piccadilly subway lines. I really appreciated my stay here. Thank you.

If I go to London, I stay at the Brompton. The staff are excellent. It *is* a no frills hotel... but the price is great. The location is great. No lift ("elevator") No public reception rooms. But nice rooms, clean sheets, good plumbing., great location
