Bright rooftop apartment in Kentish Town
My flat is full of light, top floor of an old three-story building under the roof with unobstructed views. Located between Kentish Town and Tufnell Park tube stations on the Northern Line not far from Gospel Oak, it is near the very busy Camden town but far enough that it is quieter and less touristic.
You will notice that the flat needs a bit of work, the bathroom is brand new which is lovely but the building is old and the flat was last refurbished long ago, yet it has plenty of charm.
The living room has a mezzanine with a UK king size bed (150x190). An area of the mezzanine is harder to access which is why I put my personal stuff in that corner.
There are two roof windows, one of them has a remote which you have to use to close and open the blinds. The other can be closed and opened from the mezzanine (please be very careful). Note that there is a window in the entrance stairs which does not have blinds so you will have light coming in the morning.
The living room itself has a three-seater couch (also a double 180x200 bed). The heating can be easily controlled with a remote (beware it gets hot very quickly!). There is also a tall black fan and a small air purifyer which are available for you to use. The two windows in the living room have double blinds.
One of the main issues in the living room/mezzanine space are the ceiling lights which do not work, I have placed lamps around the room to replace them.
The kitchen and bathroom are separate. The kitchen is fully fitted with a gas stove, ventilation hob and a large oven as well as a tall fridge, a washing machine, and a microwave oven (the wine fridge does not work).
The bathroom is newly refurbished with a walk-in shower. It has no window as such the ventilation system turns on whenever it senses excess humidity. Towels will be provided.
This is my home and I love it very much. I live here with my dog Matt Damon (yes, you read that correctly) so if you are allergic to dogs, this might not be the place for you. Obviously, the flat will be cleaned thoroughly. But Matt has short hair and those are sneaky!
