The location is okay, up the hill as most things are. The unit, though, is at the top of a 4 story building and is not air conditioned. The dinky fans are basically no help. So in warm weather I recommend you find another place to stay. In particular, one room has a window only on one side so there is not even a breeze. Otherwise, the appliances worked although the fridge is quite small.We would not stay there again at any time of the year.

Lovely and well appointed apartment. Very walkable area but off the busier streets so it’s generally pretty quiet at night. The unit itself is very comfortable with amenities like a washer and dishwasher. Great and proactive communication with the owners made check in and out easy. We appreciated being near the top of the hill and the views it afforded but be aware the unit is on the top floor as well as the top of the hill. The only negative I had was the neighbors rooster who is a very early riser.

We Loved It!

Our stay in this apartment was absolutely perfect! The space was beautifully decorated, impeccably clean and wonderfully cozy. We appreciated the great bathrooms and the fully equipped kitchen that had everything we needed for our stay. The host's communication was excellent, she was responsive, helpful and welcoming. We'll love to stay in this property again when we return to Lisboa in the future.

Second stay - as lovely as the first

We chose to stay here a second time because the home is immaculate and extremely well organized and furnished. It is also in a convenient location to the most popular attractions - close walk to most places as long as you can do hills. The view of the river is charming, and despite being centrally located, it’s amazingly quiet. We highly recommend this apartment and will be staying here again whenever we come to Lisbon.

Great apartment

The apartment was great, modern, clean. The hosts were responsive and gave us tips on getting around. Mobility is very important as the apartment is a loft apartment with approx 61 steps to get to the top. With that said, I would definitely stay there again, but would not bring a heavy suitcase. Also, rideshare or taxis don’t have access to the location atop a cobblestone street. Other wise, the location was great. Nice restaurant nearby for breakfast, etc,

A beautiful apartment in the Alfama

This is a very beautiful apartment, perfect for two couples. It is extremely well located under the wall of the Castelo da Sao Jorge. Be warned. It is on the 4th (5th, if you’re an American) floor and there is no elevator. You also may bump your head a lot on the sloping roof of the primary bedroom. It is light and bright, and tastefully decorated. A perfect home base for a stay in Lisbon

Charming Alfama location

Cozy, clean and well appointed. Very comfortable beds. It's a bit of a hike getting to the top floor but doable. Close to the miradoro which is spectacular.

A Gem in Alfama

Our family really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful apartment in the Alfama district. It was great for our family to have two bedrooms and bathrooms for our stay. The neighborhood is great, the apartment is perfectly maintained and clean, and the hosts are wonderfully friendly. We could not have enjoyed our stay more. Thank you!

Lisbon Visit

The apartment was wonderful and I would stay again. Getting to the apartment requires climbing quite a few stairs, and is located on a hill, so you definitely get your exercise staying there.

Very improper communication language by manager, Simona. Communication could have been smoother. Be prepared for a challenging climb to the attic/fifth floor, especially with luggage. Inside, the apartment is tastefully decorated but there's a noticeable moldy smell upon entering. Views are limited: one side is obstructed by a large tree and the other overlooks a neighboring building's roof. Bedroom sizes vary; one feels cramped for anyone over 5.5 feet and the other is a tight fit for a queen bed.

Lovely apartment in historic Alfama

Good location, central to many sites of historical interest. Apartment was clean and well furnished. Prospective renters should know that one bedroom/bathroom is not well suited to taller persons. Low ceilings make it difficult for anyone over 6 feet tall. Also, apartment is on 4th floor without an elevator. Be prepared to carry luggage up 4 flights of stairs. But, overall the unit was well suited to our needs.

Perfect stay in Lisbon!

I booked this apartment for a 5 day stay in Lisbon my wife and two teenagers, and it was perfect. Great communication with the owners, easy check-in and check-out. The location couldn't be better for exploring Lisbon, and the apartment itself was clean and comfortable. Despite it being the middle of July, we had no problems at night sleeping with the windows open and fans going. Would highly recommend!

Best Place to Stay in Alfama

Easy check-in process, and flexible check-in time if no one else rents it the night before. Beautiful and newly renovated. Very clean. On the fourth floor (no elevator), but still surprisingly cool due to the breeze when the windows were open, otherwise I could be a little stuffy. In a very central location in Alfama and very close to all the miradouros. However, be prepared for hills if staying Alfama - there’s no way to avoid it. Had everything we needed for our week-long stay at the end of April. Lots of restaurants and bars and mini marts/mini mercados within walking distance. Would definitely stay here again if I was ever to come back to Lisbon

Good location, recently renovated

Our 3 generation family ages 10-71 enjoyed our stay here for almost a week. Pros: Very well equipped small kitchen, clean, large living/dining space, small grocery and restaurants very close, larger grocery in Martin Moritz. Be aware Alfama is very hilly and apartment is 4 story walk up. It was quite warm when we were there. Open windows bring mosquitoes. Fans would have been much appreciated. Twin beds are pretty hard. Big bath has a sewer odor. Awesome to have a washer and dry rack. Communication with property manager very easy. Nice view of the water from the French balcony.

Beautiful spot, spotless apartment

We had an amazing week exploring Lisbon and environs, and this apartment was a perfect home base for our family of 3. Everything is updated, clean, tastefully decorated, and functional. Having a view of the river, lots of fresh air and natural light from the many windows, and incredibly comfortable beds made for wonderful Lisbon living.

Next door to cockerels and peacocks

A beautiful setting on the top floor of a building across a street adjacent to Castelo De S. Jorge. The apartment has windows on both sides of the building which provided views across the local area to the river on once side and over the roofs of houses on the other into gardens with poultry and to the walls of the castle where peacocks paraded. Our hostess Simone was extremely helpful. Operego restaurant is approximately 20 yards away and the staff were most helpful. The surrounding area is very steep but tram services are accessible.

Wonderful stay in a magical neighborhood

We felt very fortunate to have found this lovely apartment in the Alfama neighborhood. It was furnished in higher quality furnishings, was super clean/all in good condition, and had a nice view of the river. Although compact, everything was well-organized (especially the kitchen, though we didn't cook in). The location was amazing - quiet, yet in the most charming and scenic area. We walked everywhere in Lisbon from the apartment, though if hills aren't your thing, you could easily take a tuk-tuk or taxi. We are already dreaming of returning and will happily recommend this rental to our friends.
