My friend and I had a terrible experience at this hotel from the moment we arrived. We arrived late evening our first night and checked in (it was a smooth check-in) but when we got to the room and attempted to connect to the wifi, it kept cutting in and out. When we informed the front desk, they simply responded with telling us to restart our phones and stated “well everyone else’s is working”.. very poor customer service. It is a noisy spot, you can hear the metro/subway underneath the building. We slept with a sound machine and could still hear it. That next morning when I showered, I noticed black mold all over the shower/walls/and ceiling of the bathroom. When we informed front desk they said they would have house cleaning take a look and “try” to move us rooms. We refused to be retuned to that room and informed them no guest should be staying in that room. We went about our day, and upon return they had switched us room, however the room was very subpar again. Dirty bathrooms, grimy and unacceptable presentation.
We also tried to get a late checkout on our last day due to a late train to Porto and they said “we cannot accommodate this we are fully booked” despite there being rooms available online for that same night. Not happy with my stay here and I would not recommend to anyone that you stay at this hotel.
