The person who greeted me when I checked in, was pleasant, kind, helpful, and professional. I felt sad for them, because the environment seemed like a dismal, sad, and hopeless place to work.
There wasn't even a sign outside that read "Siletz Bay Beachfront"; just the word "Motel" on the side of the building. The aesthetic of the lobby was cold, bleek, and dark; with a few fluorescent light bulbs above the front desk. It was like being catapulted back to some 1975 movie.
The my motel room was musty; covered by a room deodorizer. The furniture was beat up and the carpet needed a deep wall-to-wall cleaning. There was also a random weird long knob poking out of the wall with no markings or indication of it was for. I figured out that it was to control a thermostat. It made weird clicking sounds throughout out the night.
Whomever owns this property, it's time sell or put it rest.
