The staff went out of their way to be accommodating. I had specifically requested a room without fragrance or scent but when we unlocked the door the smell was so overpowering that we called down to the desk asking for accommodations that would not cause my allergies to flair. We followed up with a visit to the desk. They were already at Walmart purchasing an auto purifier. They also mentioned another room that we could consider, that one had no carpets and solved the problem. Disaster adverted! The breakfast that was included the following morning was a buffet. Every item served was better than I expected. In this I have to say we were quite pleasantly surprised. The location is perfect for families looking for that lodge experience. Maybe not the romantic getaway I was looking for, but definitely a place I'd bring the family for a kid friendly stay.

The hotel is lovely. The staff is great. The amenities are fine. Two big issues prevent me from treating higher. 1) The fit and finish is showing some age (e.g., the countertop in the bathroom was full of damaged spots) and 2) the sound proofing is terrible. The dorm refrigerator had to be unplugged since it was very loud and not just a constant drone but changed sounds throughout the night making it difficult to ignore. One neighbor watched a basketball game until late and I could make out every detail from the commentary. The other neighbor was either working out, was very sick, or was doing something x-rated for hours - moaning, groaning, swearing, grunting etc. That same neighbor's alarm went off at 4:15 AM with music ("Sometimes when we touch") playing until I physically beat on the wall to get him to shut it off. Then the gutteral sounds began again! Without better sound damping (it better luck), it is hard to recommend.

Heat was set at 64 and it was very cold. We changed the temps but it did not change. Stayed at 66 all night. Fireplace helped but...... Breakfast was a 3 out of 10. Really poor quality. Would not stay or recommend.

Old and dated property. Rooms are in need of a major facelift. Common areas were decent enough though. Surrounding area is very odd because you need to go through parking lots to get to the hotel.

The hotel is wonderful! Beds are comfortable, water pressure and temp in the shower is SO good! And the continental breakfast is very good - plus the dining area is relaxing and enjoyable. Would HIGHLY recommend you checking this place out!

The Fireside Inn is a hidden gem! It makes you feel like you are at a smaller resort/lodge. When you walk through the front doors, you are greeted with a beautiful fireplace! So well maintained and the front desk, bartender, and waitresses for dinner and breakfast were excellent! Hot Tub was nice and refreshing. I would recommend it to everyone!

We were located on the second floor but the elevator doesn't go all the way up. We had to haul our luggage up the last flight of stairs to our level. The complimentary hot breakfast was great. The lounge area and enormous fireplace were really nice. The bathtub was slippery and there were no grab bars. The outdoor patio was very comfortable in the afternoon sun.

The room was very dusty, and found stuff on the floor - a used toothpick and old food... The bathroom is in urgent need of remodel, the bathtub looked very bad. The lobby looks pretty cool with the fish pond, and the fireplace area, the pool looked fun and well maintained. Breakfast was not bad at all! They just need to invest some in the rooms themselves. Top things I look for most in hotels is a clean bright room, comfortable pillows and mattress, and very clean updated bathrooms, and this hotel definitely didn't pass my standards.

Excellent service - pleasant and accommodating. I have limited mobility and our room was near the entrance allowing great ease of access. A lovely well kept hotel. Will return in future.
