I haven't been to the Rio in probably 20 years, and boy has it gone downhill! It was basically empty and had no vibe, and the bar staff were quite rude. The room I have was quite large, but clearly had not been updated since the 1990s. There was no hot water on Monday morning, there is no room service, the phone in the room did not work – I tried calling the front desk from The pre-assigned button, and got nothing, and when I tried to use the Quick Checkout button on the phone, it transferred me to somebody else's room randomly. The hairdryer did not work, the iron barely worked, and the safe felt like you could open it with a credit card. Very disappointing, and would absolutely not go to the Rio in the future, let alone stay there again.

I recently stayed at the Rio Hotel in Las Vegas in one of their remodeled king rooms on a high floor with a strip view, and overall I had a great experience. The room was one of the cleanest I’ve ever stayed. Spacious, modern, and with a beautiful view of the Strip, especially at night. The staff was friendly and welcoming throughout my stay. The small food court had good food at surprisingly affordable prices, which was a nice bonus. On the other hand, the convenience store on-site felt overpriced — I paid $10 for a single bag of BBQ chips. The hotel has a good variety of slot machines and a fun atmosphere overall. Room service did take a bit long to bring extra towels, but nothing too major. The bathroom had great water pressure, but the toilet water did have an unpleasant smell when flushing. Also, the walls are pretty thin. I could hear my neighbors from their rooms. Despite those minor issues, I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends and family. The clean, updated room and amazing views made it a great experience.

The property was clean, I didn’t have any interaction with the staff during my stay. Rooms were clean and spacious. We were in the Masquerade Tower and had strangers walking the floors sticking coupons and flyers under the doors.

It would have been nice to get free coffee and maid service. Everyday i had to go ask for towels. The money you spend you should always have maid service. Then the fees they add on after you pay for your room. I will not be back. There were some good things but there were more bad that outweighed the good.

I wished the foos court hours were open later. Room was cozy, but wasnt sure about the glass block in the shower. I had hoped for atleast a coffee maker in the room but it didnt have one.

International travellers will have a hard time checking into the self serve. My passport would not scan. Only two people working at the desk with lots of people who were unable to successfully use the SS. They were pleasant reguardless of the situation which was nice. I got an orginal room, was spacious, the housekeeping folks did a fantasic job even thought the rooms already have thier blemishes. It's a mediocre property and not easy walk to the strip if thats what ypu are into. Food options are limited and mostly expensive
