Great house in a beautiful, quaint location. Right across the street from the wine bar, a 2mn walk from the bakery, butcher, grocer... and quite a few restaurants. 20 mn from the beach. Lots of trails into the mountains. Philippe, the owner is very nice , this is our second time in one of his properties. Highly recommended.PS. The wine bar can get a little loud in the evening, just people laughing and the music in the background. Not a problem for us, but it could be for some.

In the Heart of Laroque-des-Alberes

It was a very special time for us to be in Philippe’s rental in Laroque-des-Alberes for five plus weeks this winter. The house is one of the most spacious and comfortable we’ve rented during our decades of travel. Especially nice is the sunlight that brightens every room. Though there were only two of us, the house would easily accommodate 4-6. It has everything in the ways of need and convenience: kitchen supplies along with a good selection of staples, washing machine, great shower, and reliable internet. On each of the two floors are two patios as well, one when you need shade and the other to bask in the sun. The house is wonderfully located in the heart of the town, and for convenience a boulangerie/patisserie, a small grocery with an excellent selection of cheeses, and a butcher are a very short walk away. There are also several restaurants close by.The history and culture of the area are rich and deep from the many, many beautiful Romanesque and medieval chapels, abbeys, churches to the modern artists who worked in Seret, Collioure, and Banyuls-sur-Mer. And the stunning varied landscape of the region is a walker/ hiker’s delight with exceedingly well-signed trails along the sea coast and in the hills, mountains, and valleys.All of this coupled with the kindness and thoughtfulness of Philippe made our stay a full and filling one of pure pleasure.

A beautiful house in a beautiful area

Philippe was incredibly helpful on arrival and the house was just as described with everything you could possibly need. We particularly enjoyed the balconies. The village has a fantastic selection of bars and restaurants - we sampled many of them and we found every meal to be excellent. The coastline is beautiful and we wish that we’d had more time to explore. We hope to return again soon to see more.

Philippe est un hôte attentionné. Il prend le temps de venir nous accueillir et nous faire visiter la maison, qui est très spacieuse et confortable. Tout près des plages, du sentier du littoral et de sentiers de randonnées dans la montagne , l’emplacement est aussi près de petits pubs et cafés. Nous avons adoré notre séjour.

Onderdompelen in een Frans dorpje

Verblijf was prettig, sfeervol oud, opgeknapt huis. Midden in het gezellige Laroque, mooie omgeving maar ook goede eetgelegenheden bij de deur. Huis is koel, goed uitgeruste keuken. Mooie omgeving voor wandelingen, fietsen en strand.

La location est situee au coeur d'une commune tres vivante et belle, à proximité de la mer, de la montagne, des musées... Elle est spacieuse, bien équipée et les terrasses permettent de profiter de l'extérieur à tous moments de la journée. Ce sera un plaisir d'y retourner.

Belle maison rénovée au coeur du village authentique de Laroque des Albères

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié l'accueil de Philippe très attentionné ainsi que ses conseils. Sa maison est le lieu idéal pour un séjour en famille ou entre amis. On s'y sent chez soi! Elle est très confortable et très bien équipée. Pour nous, ce fut le pied à terre parfait pour découvrir cette belle région depuis un petit village authentique et vivant, différent de l'agitation de la côte. On y est au calme, dans un beau cadre, à 15' du littoral, avec de nombreux sentiers de randonnée (plusieurs très belles randos depuis le village!), vignobles et autres sites et villages à découvrir aux alentours.

Logement situé dans un emplacement très agréable à visiter, proche de plages, de belles randonnées, de beaux paysages à découvrir. Le logement en lui même est plus spacieux que nous ne l'avions supposé d'après l'annonce, très propre et bien entretenu et idéalement situé. Le propriétaire, quant à lui, s'est montré très gentil et attentionné. Expérience que nous ne manquerons sans doute pas de réitérer.

Des vacances très agréables dans un petit village très mignon et suffisamment animé l'été. La localisation du village permets de se rendre très facilement en voiture sur les différentes plages et villes alentours. L'appartement, superbement bien rénové, est très chaleureux et agréable.
