We paid over 4,000 for two nights to celebrate a 10th birthday and give my brother-in-law, a wheelchair user who recently lost both legs and was his first getaway with family. My email to the host a week before arrival got no reply. By 3 pm we had no door code and family was locked out. Repeated calls to the number Vrbo lists went unanswered; when someone finally called back, I was scolded for using an "emergencies only" line. We lost nearly an hour of our stay.The house was not clean. Floors throughout were coated in black soot so we swept the entire house ourselves so my brother-in-law could safely transfer from his wheelchair and the kids could play. Showers were grimy, no towels were placed in any bathroom, toilet paper was nearly gone, toilet seats were loose, and there was heavy dirt under beds and furniture. The master duvet had no cover, the bed had no top sheet, and one pillow smelled strongly of urine.Outside, recycling bins were overflowing on arrival, the BBQ was dirty with no cleaning tools, the fire-pit propane tank was empty, and the patio was un-swept. During rain, I noticed water ran down some odd exterior areas, and several ceilings show water stains.When I asked the property manager for any compensation, I got a flat "no." I've worked in hospitality for many years and at roughly 2,000 a night, this fell far below any acceptable standard. I can't recommend this property, especially for families or anyone with mobility needs. The pets didn't seem to mind
