"The renovations turned the place in the most beautiful accommodation facility in Grand Bend. I love the look, love the room modern look and yet all the history of the place kept alive in subtile ways. Extremely clean. Excellent service!! I was impressed to see the staff makes a bone fire every evening and not just that, but they also check on it and maintain it! Listen to 80’s music one evening and loved every minute of it! Spacious rooms, modern details, latest updates and quality furnishings. Friendly and eager to help staff!! We were upgraded (such a nice surprise!!) and helped on the spot with a smile. I was impressed and delighted. Colonial is my new go to for Grand Bend. It was hard to leave on the last day, but I am looking forward to returning again this year."

"We enjoyed our stay at this very lovely house. It did not disappoint the beds were comfortable, the kitchen had everything you needed, the game’s room/screening room was a very nice touch. I enjoyed a hot tub before retiring for the night. The back deck and fire pit provided a great space to spend time outdoors."

"The property was enjoyed by many groupings of adult family and friends. Be it a visit for an afternoon or a multi-day stay, it was comfortable and well appointed. So much parking. An easy to use kitchen. Places to play games, relax, very comfortable. Laundry! So easy to get to the beach, an area with many birds and animals, and other attractions such as Bayfield and the Pinery. Only suggestions would be improved safety railing on inside stairs. Improved information about area and expectations re cleaning, garbage disposal, etc would be appreciated"

"The motel is very nice. It’s an old motel that has been renovated. The room is compact, but was comfortable the updates are very nice. I would recommend it and would stay again."

"We are a small group of quilters who organized a retreat using the space in the common room - it was spacious and well lit with natural light and pot lights. Everyone had their own bed and the four bathrooms were great! Overall the cottage is clean and spacious. Easy to locate and there are plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Great hosts!"
